New in 2010
- We have lowered the entry fee to $300 (from $500) for a team.
- The race has been extended from 50 minutes to one hour
- Rather than qualifying, teams will grid by their level of BOMA PAC donations
- Team Captains will be asked to raise $150 per team member as a donation to the BOMA PAC, following the rules and restrictions of PAC fund raising.
RACE FORMAT: Each driver runs a 5 minute warm up session which is designed to familiarize drivers with the gokarts and the track. Drivers break off into their teams (or teams of 3 to 4 people are formed) and have a driver’s meeting to prepare for the Gran Prix. Each team shares one gokart and races for 50 minutes – the team that completes the most laps, wins! All teams are required to make pit stops to give each driver a turn. Strategy is left to the individual teams. Awards will be given to the top 3 teams.
